Filmed over 12 days during the inaugural 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise in the Bahamas, the series zeroes in on the historic $25,000 Super Main Event, which boasted a staggering $50 million guarantee. With over 650 hours of behind-the-scenes footage, "NO LIMIT" follows more than a dozen players, but the focus isn't on strategy or "correct" plays.
In a statement, series creator Dustin Iannotti made the show's objective clear. "NO LIMIT isn't a poker documentary," Iannotti said. "It's a human documentary that happens to feature people who play cards for a living."
Iannotti is managing expectations for strategy-hungry viewers. "Fair warning to the poker purists: If you're coming for hand analysis, you'll be disappointed," he stated.
Instead, the series aims to bridge the gap between the insular poker world and the mainstream. "I'd call it a success if a poker player can tell their mom to watch... and then have them hear back that they 'finally get why you love this game,'" Iannotti explained. "It's whether someone who's never played a hand finds themselves rooting for a bracelet winner or a struggling grinder with equal passion."
The Cast: Titans, Grinders, and Dreamers
Β
The series assembled a compelling cast that represents every facet of the poker ecosystem, all colliding in a high-pressure, eight-figure prize pool tournament.
The Superstars: The lineup is anchored by two of the game's most recognizable figures: GGPoker Ambassador Daniel Negreanu and 17-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth.
The Elite Pros: They are joined by a formidable roster of modern-day crushers, including:
-
Scott Seiver, fresh off a legendary 2024 WSOP in Las Vegas where he captured three bracelets and the Player of the Year title.
-
Kristen Foxen and Adrian Mateos, two of the most dominant high-stakes tournament players in the world.
-
Maria Ho and Faraz Jaka, veteran pros known for their longevity and skill.
-
Jesse Lonis, a fan favorite who has rapidly risen through the ranks.
-
Liv Boeree, a retired poker star and science communicator who returned to the felt and made a spectacular run, ultimately finishing fourth in the event for $2.8 million.
The Wildcards and the Dreamers: Rounding out the cast are popular content creator Wolfgang Poker, high-stakes personality Alan Keating, and two online qualifiers who represent the "dream" of the event.
The series will shadow Adam Malfitano, a self-promoter who recently left a stable career to chase his poker ambitions, and Eric Bonucchi-Bilow, a quiet HR supervisor who satellited into the $25,000 event for just $15.

The Real Stories Behind the Stakes
Β
The "NO LIMIT" trailer and creator's statement promise to delve into the personal narratives often hidden behind sunglasses and chip stacks.
"If you want to understand how poker was a way out of poverty for Jesse Lonis, or why Kristen Foxen still thinks about the hand she played in the Main Event 18 months ago... That's the show we made," Iannotti said.
This human-first approach aims to capture the immense psychological pressure, the life-altering stakes, and the diverse motivations that drive players to compete at the highest level.
How to Watch: The eight-part series, with 30-minute episodes, will be released for free on YouTube. Episodes will drop every Tuesday and Thursday, beginning on November 4.
