Exactwhere it fits

These are the calculators we use ourselves when writing about hands, and they were built to replace the one-page tools that have served the poker world since the PokerStove days: the same type-the-hands-and-go workflow, every game that gets dealt in a mixed rotation, and a results table with the raw counts under the percentages. Each calculator has its own page with worked examples computed by the same engine, so the numbers in the text are the numbers in the tool.

About

How these poker calculators work

Every calculator shares one engine. It scores hands under each game's own ranking, including the ones that trip up quick tools: the flush-over-full-house rule and the A-6-7-8-9 straight in Short Deck, the two-from-hand rule for both halves in Omaha Hi/Lo, the ace-high and straights-count-against-you rules of deuce-to-seven, the subset search that scores a badugi correctly. The evaluator was checked against brute-force enumeration for every game before any page went live.

When a spot is small enough, the engine deals every possible completion and the result is exact. That covers every Hold'em and Short Deck preflop match-up (1,712,304 and 201,376 boards respectively), every flop, turn and river in every board game, every one-draw lowball and draw spot, and ICM for any final table. Omaha preflop and range-against-range spots are too large for a browser to enumerate, so they run Monte Carlo for about a second and a half and report the trial count with a 95% margin of error; a Run longer button takes the margin below a tenth of a point.

Hold'em and Short Deck

The Texas Hold'em odds calculator takes hands, ranges in standard notation, random hands, a board and dead cards, for up to ten players, and breaks each hand into win, tie and lose with raw counts, plus a distribution of the hands each player ends up making. The Short Deck calculator does the same from the 36-card deck under short deck rules, with the trips-beat-straight variant as an option.

Omaha

The Omaha odds calculator covers PLO, five-card and six-card Omaha. The Omaha Hi/Lo calculator reports the whole-pot equity and then the high share, low share, scoop percentage and how often a low qualified, which is the information a split-pot decision actually needs.

Stud games

Seven-Card Stud, Stud Hi/Lo and Razz take three to seven cards per player and remove the folded upcards from the deck, which in stud changes the numbers more than anything else you can enter.

Draw games

5-Card Draw, 2-7 Lowball, A-5 Lowball and Badugi take the cards each player keeps and deal the draw. With one draw to come nearly every spot is enumerated exactly. Earlier draws in triple-draw games depend on strategy and are deliberately not guessed at.

Tournament tools

The ICM calculator values every stack with the Malmuth-Harville model, compares ICM with a chip chop, builds a deal with money left for first, and gives bubble factors with the equity needed to call. The pot odds calculator turns a pot, a bet and a number of outs into a price, a hit probability and a verdict, with the implied odds needed when the direct price is short. For running a home tournament end to end there is the tournament director.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, all of them, with no sign-up and no limits. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Wherever the spot is small enough to enumerate, every possible deal is evaluated and the result is exact: all Hold'em and Short Deck preflop match-ups, every flop, turn and river, every one-draw lowball spot, every ICM table up to 30 players. Larger spots, such as Omaha preflop or range against range, run Monte Carlo and show the trial count and a 95% margin of error, with a button to run longer. The hand evaluator was checked against brute-force enumeration for every game.

Texas Hold'em, Short Deck (6+), Omaha, 5-card and 6-card Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 5-card Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven-Card Stud, Stud Hi/Lo, Razz, 5-Card Draw, 2-7 Lowball, A-5 Lowball and Badugi, plus ICM and pot odds.

Every calculator has a Share link button that copies a URL with the hands, board and dead cards, or the stacks and payouts, in it. Open it on any device and the same spot loads.

Yes. They are built for it: a single line to type the hands into, a deck to tap if you prefer, and results in a table that scrolls sideways when it has to.
