A $5 knockout tournament where a single bust-out can pay $2,000. That is the pitch GGPoker is putting in front of bounty players this October with a new format called Ocean KO, and it lands in the middle of a month that already carries an $80 million Bounty Hunters Series, an $18 million promo calendar, a Halloween candy hunt, live-event boosts in the UK and Czech Republic, and a quiet rename of the room's bonus currency that will confuse a few people on 2 October 2026 and nobody after that.
Here is the whole month in one place, with the numbers checked and the marketing gloss scraped off. One housekeeping note before you get excited: GGPoker does not seat players from the United States. If that is you, the GlobalPokerSites.com review of GGPoker explains who the room does accept, and why its rake earned a 7.5 rather than a 9.
Ocean KO: a knockout that can pay 400 times your seat
Progressive knockouts have been the default tournament format on GGPoker for years, and the room's Bounty Hunters Series is built on them. Ocean KO is the first serious twist on the formula since Mystery Bounty arrived. According to the briefing GGPoker sent to its partners on 2 October 2026, every knockout in an Ocean KO event is drawn against a tiered prize ladder, with a single KO worth as much as 400 times what you paid to enter, and a bounty ceiling GGPoker puts at $1.5 million. Think of it as a normal PKO with a jackpot ladder bolted onto every bounty.
The name is not an accident. GGPoker rebranded its whole loyalty scheme as Ocean Rewards on 30 January 2026, with tiers running from Fish to Shark. Ocean KO is the tournament lobby catching up with the branding. Expect more things to be named after sea life.
What the multiplier means at the stakes most of you actually play, taking GGPoker's 400x ceiling at face value:
Event dates and guarantees as published for the October series. The 400x figure is GGPoker's own ceiling; the odds of hitting the top tier have not been published, so treat the big numbers as lottery tickets stapled to a normal PKO.
The honest read for a grinder: the vast majority of Ocean KO bounties will presumably pay something close to a normal PKO bounty, and the format's value depends entirely on how the tiers are distributed, which GGPoker has not disclosed. Until it does, play Ocean KO events the way you would play a Mystery Bounty, where the bounty's expected value is what matters and the dream is a nice side effect. The two Ocean KO flagships sit inside a Bounty Hunters Series that runs from 4 to 27 October 2026 with $80 million in guarantees and buy-ins from $5.40 to $1,050, the same shape as the April and July editions, which also carried $80 million.
The $18 million calendar, and where the money actually is
GGPoker's October Giveaway page lists five campaigns under the $18 million banner. Add the printed figures and you get $1M + $2M + $1M + $0.4M + $13M, which is $17.4 million. The missing $600,000 is a rounding decision, not a scandal, and the $13 million cash game slice itself breaks down into $7.5M of leaderboards, $3M of daily Flipouts, $2.2M of newcomer bonuses and $1M of tournament rewards, which sums to $13.7 million. Marketing departments round in whichever direction looks better on the banner. The individual promotions are the parts worth reading.
The Cash Drop: $90,000 a day, dealt in three-hour slices
From 2 to 23 October 2026 the $2 million Bounty Hunters Series Cash Drop pays cash game players for winning big pots. Win a hand with a net profit of 50 big blinds or more in Hold'em, PLO, PLO-5, PLO-6, Short Deck or Rush & Cash, and you earn Flipout Chips. All-In or Fold tables have lower bars: 16 big blinds in Hold'em, 10 in Omaha. Net profit is the pot you won minus what you yourself put in, so a 50bb pot where you contributed half does not count. The chips feed into an automatic Flipout every three hours, and the more chips you hold, the bigger your starting stack in that Flipout. There are eight rounds a day on a UTC-8 clock: seven worth $10,000 each and an overnight eighth worth $20,000.
+ 1 night round x $20,000 = $20,000
= $90,000 per day
x 22 days (2 to 23 Oct inclusive)
= $1,980,000
Bounty King leaderboard: $1 million, $40,000 and change a day
Alongside the series, from 4 to 27 October 2026, GGPoker runs a daily knockout leaderboard with $1 million across the 24 days, which works out to about $41,667 a day and matches the "$40,000+ daily" figure on the official page. Points come from eliminations in Bounty Hunters Series events, scaled by buy-in, from 1 point per knockout at the bottom of the schedule to 15 at the top. The day resets at 08:00 UTC. For a mass multi-tabler of $5 to $25 PKOs this is the most grindable promo of the month, since knockouts are the thing you are already trying to do.
Halloween Party: hunt the Jack of Spades
The last week of the month, 24 to 31 October 2026, belongs to the $1 million Halloween Party. The mechanic is pleasingly dumb. Whenever you are dealt, or are involved in a pot containing, the Jack of Spades in an eligible cash game (All-In or Fold, Rush & Cash, Hold'em, PLO, PLO-5, PLO-6 and Short Deck all count), you collect a Candy. Ten Candies open a Mystery Pumpkin, which pays a random prize up to $1,000. The official terms say Candies have no cash value and anything left over after 23:59 UTC-8 on 31 October is auto-converted, so there is no point hoarding. Rush & Cash players will rack these up fastest simply because they see more hands; the Jack of Spades does not care about your win rate.
The $400,000 APT Online leaderboard, 11 October to 2 November 2026, is listed as coming soon with no mechanics published yet. APT is the Asian Poker Tour, a live circuit that has run online editions on the GG network since 2020, so expect the usual leaderboard-by-points format once the page goes live.
C$ is dead, long live P$
On 2 October 2026 GGPoker renames its cash game bonus currency. C$, short for Cash Game Dollars, becomes P$, for Poker Dollars. GGPoker told partners the change is cosmetic: existing C$ balances convert automatically, P$ works exactly as C$ did, and T$ (Tournament Dollars) is untouched. All new promotions and in-client messaging will use P$ from here on, so if you see both terms floating around forums for a month, they mean the same thing.
For anyone who joined after the Fish Buffet era and never read the fine print, here is what the thing actually is. C$ arrived in late 2020 as a way to hand out promotional value that could only be spent at cash game tables. One C$ equals one dollar at the table, you cannot withdraw it, and the software spends it before your real money when you sit down. Pots you win from opponents land in your balance as real cash; your own C$ comes back to you minus rake. It never expires. The whole point is to keep bonus money generating action at the tables rather than vanishing into withdrawals. T$ does the same job for tournaments and Spin & Gold.
Why bother renaming it? GGPoker has not said. A reasonable guess is that "Cash Game Dollars" reads oddly next to a growing casino product and a loyalty scheme that pays in GEMs and Tide Points, and "Poker Dollars" draws a cleaner line between the poker and casino sides of the client. Treat that as our speculation, not GGPoker's explanation.
Live poker with a GGPoker receipt attached
Two live-event angles matter this month, one for UK players and one for anyone within driving distance of the German-Czech border.
In the UK, GGPoker became the official online partner of Grosvenor Casinos in spring 2026. Grosvenor is a nationwide UK casino chain that runs the GUKPT (Grosvenor UK Poker Tour) plus the G200 and G300 festivals, named after their £200 and £300 buy-ins. Under the deal, anyone who satellites in on GGPoker, or registers for the live event from inside their GGPoker account, gets 20% added to their net Main Event winnings at G200, G300 and Goliath events, and 10% at GUKPT Main Events. GGPoker's partner note says the extra money arrives as T$ in the player's account within five days of the tournament wrapping up. The arithmetic is simple: cash a G300 for a net £5,000 and £1,000 in T$ lands in your account; take £10,000 net from a GUKPT Main Event and the T$ boost is also £1,000. Same seat, same field, extra tournament money for entering through the right door. The catch, obviously, is that the boost comes in a currency you can only play with, not withdraw.
On the continent, the WSOP Super Circuit arrives at King's Resort in Rozvadov from 28 October to 11 November 2026. King's is the sprawling casino sitting just over the Czech side of the German border that hosted the World Series of Poker Europe for years before that event moved to Prague in 2026; the Super Circuit is WSOP's international ring-event brand. The Main Event is a €3,000 buy-in with a €2,000,000 guarantee. GGPoker says German qualifiers and players who satellite in through the client get additional perks, without yet specifying what they are; satellites are the thing to watch in the lobby from early October.
The small print, and the casino in the browser
GGPoker also told partners that a web version of GGPoker Casino launches in mid-October 2026, meaning the casino games will be reachable from a browser rather than only inside the poker client. Poker players will shrug, and should. The relevant part is that this is where the room's commercial attention is going, and the P$ rename fits the same pattern of separating the poker wallet from everything else.
A few practical reminders before you chase any of this. Leaderboards and the Cash Drop count net profit, not pots, so playing bigger pots badly does not help. The Halloween Candies and the Flipout Chips both run on a UTC-8 clock while the Bounty King leaderboard runs on UTC, which is exactly the sort of detail that costs people a prize at 07:58. And GGPoker promotions routinely pay in P$ or T$ rather than cash, so read the prize line in the client before you decide a $1,000 Mystery Pumpkin is a $1,000 withdrawal.
18+. Promotional balances such as P$ and T$ cannot be withdrawn; play within your means and use the deposit, session and self-exclusion limits in your GGPoker account settings. Help is available at BeGambleAware.org and GamCare.
